Started creating a generalized, goto list (all in one place) for some workarounds/solutions to a lot of the issues the Instinct has, since I know a lot of people have to be having these problems. I'm sure plenty is missing. I can always modify it if you give me the info.

################MAJOR##################
#Problem:
Browser freezes and kicks you back to the speed dial screen.
@Solution(s):
There is no long-term fix. The browser is fairly broken at the moment. There are some options:
1 - Push the phone button and go to the dialer
Enter ##3282#
Select RESTORE
enter MSL code
click DONE
click YES
Phone will restart. This temp fix does not reset your Contacts or data
2 - Do a hard reset. THIS WILL WIPE ALL OF THE DATA ON YOUR PHONE. Main > Settings > Reset > Reset Phone.
3 - Browse sites through google mobile search, so that all sites are formatted as a mobile version.

#Problem:
Calendar alerts do not go off.
@Solution(s):
Any calendar alert setting other than "on-time" was broken with the last rom update. Possible workarounds:
1 - Set calendar alerts early (if you want the alert an hour before, set the time of the event 1 hour prior) and use "on-time".
2 - Use a calendar alternative like google calendar.

#Problem:
I can't get phone calls while streaming data.
@Solution:
Push the Phone button and go to the dialer
Enter ##332846368#
Go to DDTM and set it to "OFF"

#Problem:
SprintTV skips/ghosts/freezes a lot and is hard to watch.
@Solution:
NOTE: This will stop news videos from loading. It's up to you if you want this tradeoff or not.
-Push the phone button and go to the dialer
-Enter ##3282#
-Select Multimedia > MMG
-Change the IP and Port to all 0's
This solution will not affect news videos, but may not provide the same results as the previous one. This also is believed to increased network speeds of various apps, but is not necessarily proven so and results may vary.
-Push the phone button and go to the dialer
-Enter ##3282#
-Select Multimedia > Buffer Size
-Change the buffer size from 07 to 20

#Problem:
I can't load news videos.
@Solution:
Refer to the problem above this one.

#Problem:
My network data connection is not working.
@Solution:
Try updating your data profile (Main > Settings > General > Update Data Profile). Sometimes this may take a couple tries as it fails sometimes. If that doesn't work try power cycling the phone (Hold down the lock button until it powers off or remove the battery).

#Problem:
Cannot access a folder in My Photos or it disappeared.
@Solution:
There is likely some corruption on the memory card:
1 - Connect the phone to your PC via USB (or use a card reader to read the memory card) and move the DCIM\photo folder in question to your PC. Re-create the folder on your memory card (by creating a new folder) and move all of the pictures from your PC back into that new folder.
2 - A more encompassing solution is to move all your pics to the PC and reformat the memory card, then move them back.
If neither solution works and you repeatedly have card read/recognition problems also, hardware failure on the card is a possibility.

#Problem:
Typing on the keyboard becomes slow/laggy.
@Solution(s):
There is no real fix for this. Most likely this is some sort of long-term, cache problem. Performing a hard reset will most likely cure this temporarily, but this wipes all data on your phone (Main > Settings > Reset > Reset Phone).

################MINOR##################

#Problem:
PCS Vision is Disabled after checking for updates.
@Solution:
Not a bug, your phone still works and the network still works.

#Problem:
Error code when trying to update Software/PRL.
"The software update could not
be completed. Please try again
later.
If the problem persists, please
call sustomer care.
Error:49156"
@Solution:
You are trying to update too often, or the signal is not strong enough. Just wait and try later. Not an issue with the phone. Sometimes a soft reset will fix this also.

#Problem:
I can't get the updated version of application X.
@Solution:
Most of the updates are basically distributed "randomly" to batches of customers at a time. Some app updates can be forced manually by visiting a URL in the Web browser:

The Email app has a "Check for Upgrade" option if you go to the main page (that lists all of the email accounts) and click on the gears icon in the top-right.

#Problem:
Two-letter words are extremely hard to even select in order to change auto-correct settings when typing on the keyboard.
@Solution:
I have no idea on this one. I encounter this fairly often. It's easy to select the right or left of the word, but selecting the middle (which is necessary to bring up auto-correct options) is sometimes nearly impossible, even with the stylus. Even worse is if the two letter word is the first word you type. Then it is often impossible to register selecting the word at all.

#Problem:
Certain photos saved from my PC or email are not appearing in My Photos.
@Solution:
Currently, My Photos only supports .jpg files. Re-save them as jpg's.

#Problem:
I want slide-to-unlock instead of using the lock button.
@Solution:
Not currently, may be being developed.

###########BUGS/FEATURE REQUESTS#############
SYSTEM
*Cannot install applications to the microSD card. This is guaranteed to cause memory problems.
*Cannot set browser cache to microSD card
*AutoCorrect word list comparison is slowing down keyboard text entry
TEXT ENTRY
*Backspace button is too small on virtual keyboard.
*Numerical layout for horizontal keyboard lacks period button (common for ipaddresses)
*"Hide Keyboard" button is poorly placed, causing it to be hit often on accident trying to backspace
*Not able to highlight-select text when typing on the keyboard. This would make deletion so much easier...
*Backspacing a certain amount of text (without removing all) is very difficult due to not being able to highlight + delete
*No copy/paste for any apps (would require highlighting in order to do so first)
UI
*No options to disable prompts for various, system messages:
"Note Saved"
"Message Deleted"
"To compose a new message..." (displays if your Messaging app contains no messages every time)
*Unable to access all apps when on a phone call (call *2, press Home button, unable to open Email app if it contains some important info for the call you are on)
*Cannot customize menus/UI at all really (layout, colors, etc)
*Cannot set background images for anything other than the lock screen
*Scrolling in general seems somewhat slow
*Unable to customize what screens display when pressing the "Home" or "Phone" buttons
MEDIA
*My Photos only supports .jpg files
*User cannot zoom/crop/edit photos in any way on the phone
*Camera, no option to disable "fuzzy picture" warning
*Music player scans the memory card after every boot, unable to turn this off.
*Music player is slow to cycle songs
*Video player has very limited support (problems for some even using .mp4)
*Switching between My Photos with side-swiping is a bit laggy
SPRINT TV
*Some SprintTV channels are still quite pixelated
*SprintTV still navigates very slowly
*Sometimes SprintTV channels audio does not match the video or a channel is not playing the correct content. I have had this occur with Discovery mobile. This is likely a service issue, not app related, but it's still an issue.
EMAIL
*Email lacks scheduling of alerts (cannot turn off audible alerts at 3am without disabling them entirely)
*Email doesn't let you disable vibrate notification
*Selecting email icon if you have a new email does not automatically open an email account that has new email (just opens the last one used)
*After adding a POP account, you cannot edit the settings for the account
WEB
*Web browser crashes constantly after getting to a certain point
*Certain websites crash the browser always
*Web browser scrolling is very slow and often does not work at all during loading
*Cannot set the maximum size of the browser cache
*Setting home page for Web should not require creating a favorite for that site
*Web browser holds a very limited number of favorites
NAV
*Nav is slow to update the route guidance after you complete a turn. If the distance to the next, needed direction is very short, you could miss it
WEATHER
*Unable to schedule how often weather is updated
NEWS
*Unable to specify how many news headlines you want to pull

Feel free to get in Sprint's face with the info contained.

I have downloaded the cdma workshop and have attempted to get my mls # but every time connect the phone to my pc it says it's connected the computer and it not able to assign a com port. How do I tell the phone or my pc not to act that way. My normal hammer trick probably shouldn'd be used.

Can't help too much on that specifically since I haven't used the app.

You can try getting the MSL from a Sprint CSR also. There's several threads around the internet with info on how to attempt this.

Just a side note, a lot of the Canadian users are seeing a lot of the same issues (even though Bell/Telus/whoever uses different roms, less features and in some cases different apps).
